Pantastic is Sunderland's Community Steel Pan Band. We are currently a 18 strong group of mixed ages and physical abilities. We play a variety of music from traditional Caribbean calypso to 50's rock 'n' roll right through to modern pop music. The band has a 13 year history and has been through many changes in that time but is still going strong.
We are based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear but have travelled across Northern England and beyond to perform.

** THE BIG PUSH IS ON! ** Pantastic are in need of a whole new set of Steel Pans so we need to raise more than £8000 for the new kit. We got some great donations in 2008 from the 25 performances we did giving us a good start but there is still a long way to go. But in 2009 we are approaching a new era and its going to be a very exciting year for the band. Keep an eye on the Gig List which will be updated regularly with all our events. So please join us and get behind the band. |

23/02/2009 Thanks Haswell & District Mencap! Just a note to say thanks to everyone who contributed to the donation to Pantastic from the Haswell & District Mencap Charity Ball. We had a great night and hope to work with you again later this year. Meanwhile be sure to check the giglist as we are already getting bookings for the summer and even in November! |
