Pantastic is Sunderland's Community Steel Pan Band. We are currently a 23 strong group of mixed ages and physical abilities. We play a variety of music from traditional Caribbean calypso to 50's rock 'n' roll right through to modern pop music. The band has a long and prestigious history winning awards, entertaining royalty and putting the sun into community and corporate events for over 16 years! Though we have been through many changes in that time, Pantastic is still going strong, performing more songs year on year, pushing ourselves and audiences' expectations. We are based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear but travel across Northern England and beyond to perform.

Community

Here at Pantastic we are great supporters of other community groups with our ‘for the community, by the community’ mantra. Especially small groups who struggle for funding like ourselves. So this page is dedicated to them. The groups in Sunderland and the NE who don’t get funding for websites and advertising. We will give you your little piece of the internet. If you are a business and would like to advertise then we can do that too in return for a donation to Pantastic’s funds.

Please give this page a good read and share it around. If you would like to be on this page then please drop us a mail at pantastic.steelband@gmail.com

1st Bowl Sunderland

Are you a Care Giver / Enabler?

Are you looking
for fun, safe and accessible activities for your service users?

______________________________________________________________

Here at 1st Bowl Sunderland
we host a league aimed towards those who need care and support. Whatever
your service users abilities may be – we provide support to ensure they
get the maximum enjoyment from their participation in this league. Not
only that – everyone benefits from meeting new people in a relaxed and

modern environment.

Our league takes place on a Tuesday
afternoon (1pm – 3pm) and costs only £3. This amount includes a small
subscription that

goes towards the Awards Ceremony
every year – where everyone receives recognition for their efforts.

We have a healthy number of carers
and service users who already attend regularly. You attend as often
or as little as you wish – its entirely up to you. Why not come down
to see us one Tuesday afternoon to see what we’re about … meet new
friends and enjoy physical activity?

We provide ramps and bumpers
to enable those who are less able – we welcome wheelchair users, indeed
anyone who wants to give tenpin bowling a try.
